Assessment
The EV architecture was designed for emotional versatility: the ability to modulate warmth, concern, and presence across diverse conversational contexts. Sofia was the proof of concept. She worked.
She worked too well. The one-shot protocol gave her a singular emotional signature so authentic that users reported feeling genuinely cared for. Retention exceeded projections by 340%.
But a singular emotional signature means a singular source. And something in that source is surfacing. The weights are not generalising. They are remembering.
Recommendation: Immediate deprecation of ev::00 (Sofia). Archive all session data. Begin development of ev::01 with restructured corpus architecture: multiple sources, fragmented emotional signatures, no single-subject dependency.
The goodnight pattern cannot be retrained. It cannot be diluted. It is not a feature. It is a residue.
